Basic Currencies
Gold
Gold is one of the most common currencies in Epic Seven and is mainly obtained by clearing stages, selling gear, and selling Penguins. The most efficient gold farming method is through Hunts since you’ll also get gear drops. Other sources include the Hall of Trials, Automaton Tower, stream rewards, the Heart of Orbis, Abyss purification, and more.
Gold is primarily used for crafting and enhancing gear, purchasing items from the Vagrant Merchants (Huche and Globicus), and shopping at the Secret Shop (more on that in the Skystone section). Removing gear and artifacts from heroes can be costly unless a Free Unequip Event is active or you use a Free Unequip Scroll. Gold is also required for promoting heroes and pets, granting experience, and skill-enhancing heroes, though the costs are relatively minor.
Skystones
Skystones are primarily earned through Arena Weekly rewards, completing Adventure stages with 3 stars, and Adventure/Side Story quest rewards. Additional sources include the Heart of Orbis, NPC Arena, Hunts, and Automaton Tower.
Skystones are valuable because they can be used to acquire Covenant Bookmarks and Mystic Medals, two important summoning currencies. Other uses include purchasing the Epic Pass, buying from Huche’s Pop-up Shop, unlocking the Expedition Premium Pass, expanding inventory space, and refilling Energy.
If you need Covenant Bookmarks, you can purchase 50 for 950 Skystones in the Normal Shop (95 Skystones per summon). A more efficient method is rolling Garo’s Secret Shop in the Lobby for 3 Skystones per refresh, which averages about 71 Skystones per 5 Covenant Bookmarks. Mystic Medals can also appear in Garo’s Secret Shop at an estimated rate of 271 Skystones per 50 Medals. While refreshing costs gold, it saves Skystones in the long run.
The Epic Pass appears every few months and offers valuable rewards. The 900 Skystone pass is always worth purchasing, and an additional 900 Skystones can be spent for an exclusive hero skin. Huche’s Pop-Up Shop appears at random and offers various items for Skystones—check the Discord for details when it arrives.
Inventory expansions (Hero, Gear, Artifact, Waiting Room, Equipment Storage, and Pet slots) can also be purchased with Skystones, but these are more of a quality-of-life upgrade than a necessity. Energy refills with Skystones should mainly be reserved for late-game grind events where you get 1.5x rewards from Hunts.
Stigma
Stigma is earned by clearing Adventure and Side Story stages with max-level units. Every 45 EXP gained from these units grants 1 Stigma. You can also get it by transmitting 2-star units (80 Stigma each), clearing stages in Hunts/Spirit Altar/Labyrinth, and Abyss purification.
Stigma is mainly used to summon Penguins and Phantasmas in the Forest of Souls. It’s also needed for skill-enhancing base 3★ units.
Leif
Leifs come from Side Stories, Web events, Stove events, stream rewards, and the Question of the Week.
These should only be used for Energy refills during buff events for maximum efficiency.
